Your essay resonated SO much. I feel for you, friend. I get it. My mom died (stroke and dementia) in 2021, but before that, I was her sole caregiver. My sister was not involved. I had always been "the parent" in our relationship, so it always felt like a full-time job, and I was SO DRAINED. All I can tell you is that one day, it will change, and you WILL get your life back.
