This is brilliant. Thank you for shining a light on this! I am 64, and my sons are in their 30s. They have chosen not to have children, a decision I both understand and respect. But I get tired of people constantly asking, "Well? Are you a grandma yet?" as if having grandchildren is a prerequisite for aging happily. If "littles" happen to come alone, I'll be a great granny. If they don't, that's just fine, too. We are all SO much more than our ability to procreate.
