Such a good read. You have always been “the rock" for your son and I applaud you. My father took off when I was nine and never really showed any interest in being a parent after that. We talked a few times after I had my own children,but when he died 3 years ago, I didn’t feel much of anything. You get what you give in this life, and talk is cheap.
