Queen Bea

A little story about authenticity

She is known as Queen Bea —

The grande dame

The formidable matriarch

The force to be reckoned with

And you don’t mess with Bea unless you know what you’re doing

She can make you feel three inches tall with the raise of an eyebrow

Jumpstart another ice age with her frosty demeanour

And leave you stuttering from a single side-eye stare

Beatrice has survived war

A stillborn son

Two droughts

And a tiger shark attack at the age of sixteen

She doesn’t suffer fools

Whining

Or charlatans of any kind

But she does enjoy a good glass of whiskey

And a rousing game of five-card stud

And if she ever chooses to share her stories with you

You would be wise to listen
