I can't love this little essay enough. Dogs are truly the most perfect example of unconditional love. I think of them as furry Buddhas, completely enraptured by living in the present moment. Yep. They're my favourite "people." (P.S. Love the photo of Jersey. She is lovely.) And she was lucky to have such a good human to share her life with.
